Dr. Nathalie Tisch

Dr. Nathalie Tisch successfully defended her PhD in 2019 at the University of Heidelberg and is currently working at the UMN in Mannheim. While she mainly focused on the  subject of Neuroscience during her master studies, she has entered into a more  interdisciplinary field for her PhD work. Nathalie studied neurovascular interactions. Primarily, she tried to understand how blood vessels, which communicate with neurons at the neurovascular interface, fuel our brain with oxygen and energy as well as promote neuronal development. Nathalie joined DNO in 2015, when she mainly took care of local press communications. Since 2016, she’s a team-leader in Heidelberg together with co-Team leader Dr. Beatrice Sandner until 2018 and with co-Team leader Janina Kupke since then. In 2020 she will support DNO as Press & Communication Executive while starting her first Post Doc position.
