Dr. Ina Simeonova

Dr. Ina Simeonova finished her PhD at the University of Heidelberg in 2016. During her academic career she focused first on basic mechanisms of neurogenesis and thereafter on the differentiation of human induced pluripotent stem cells into neural lines for transplantation into the damaged spinal cord of rodent animal models of spinal cord injury. Meanwhile she has left academia for good and is working as a Project Manager / IT Consultant in software development. Together with Dr. Beatrice Sandner and few other brave DNO members, she founded the first DNO Verein in 2016 and promoted the expansion into 4 DNO locations, which are active to date. Besides promoting DNO’s growth and development, she undertook first a role as operations manager and is today Consultant and Coach of the Executive Board, as well as operationally active in several ad hoc tasks to ensure a smooth development and progress of DNO activities.
