The Deutsche Neurowissenschaften-Olympiade (DNO) is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to inspiring young minds in the field of neuroscience across Germany. Since 2011, we have brought together high school students from grades 10 to 13, offering them a platform to explore the wonders of the human brain. Through interactive workshops, competitions, and networking with neuroscientists, students engage deeply with neuroscience and develop their understanding of this exciting field.
Each year, regional winners advance to our national competition, where the champion represents Germany at the International Brain Bee, an esteemed global competition focused on neuroscience education.
Our mission, encapsulated in our motto “Driving Connectivity,” speaks to our commitment to fostering connections between students, educators, and scientists. Through these experiences, we aim to nurture the next generation of neuroscientists, broadening their understanding of brain science and sparking lifelong curiosity. Join us in exploring the brain and shaping the scientists of tomorrow!
